How long can an SVGA monitor cable be before the picture degrades?

There is no hard and fast answer to this question, because performance is always dependent upon the products you are connecting and the environment in which they are connected.

However, we do not normally recommend a booster until you get past 20m and we have plenty of people using 30m cables without boosters and getting perfect pictures. On our website and in our e-shop we don’t start adding a ‘you may need a booster with this’ warning until 25m.

Below this length, you should have no issues at all as long as your equipment is in full working order. That said, if you can afford to buy a splitter / booster (available in our e-shop) then you would be absolutely certain…
