Common uses for this lead include powering two monitors or other devices from a single UK plug such as on modern office desks.
These Y splitter leads, also just called “Y leads” or just “splitter lead” are a generous 2.5 metres long, with 1m from the UK 13 amp plug to the Y junction and 1.5 metres from the split to the IEC C13 connectors.
This lead is made using 1.0mm² 3 core mains cable and is rated at 10amps.

FYI it connects a controller/programmer (RJ12) for an astronomical telescope to a digital camera (2.5mm stereo plug) to allow long exposure photographs of very faint celestial objects in the night sky.
